The New Brunswick Refugee Clinic (NBRC) (http://www.nbrc-crnb.ca/) is a charitable organization providing free legal aid services to refugee claimants who cannot afford the services of a private lawyer.
The NBRC is building a roster of lawyer-volunteers who are willing to provide pro-bono legal services in relation to:
- meeting with clients to prepare refugee claims;
- performing legal research;
- drafting arguments and submissions for hearings before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada;
- providing representation to clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.
All volunteers are required to undergo an orientation and training session prior to being added to the volunteer roster. This training is provided free of charge by the NBRC. The next training session is scheduled for April 28, 2017 from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
